Radio Manchester gears up for Sport Relief
As Manchester gears up for the Sport Relief weekend, 成人快手 Radio Manchester's Ian Cheeseman is preparing to take on his own sporting challenge.
听
On Friday 14 March, Ian will run a lap at each of Greater Manchester's four Premier League football clubs. He will also cover the distance between each of them on foot, covering almost 30 miles in one day.
听
Starting at the City of Manchester Stadium, Ian will run a lap inside the stadium with Manchester City mascots Moonchester and Moonbeam.
听
He will run through Manchester City Centre and on to Old Trafford, where Manchester United mascot Fred The Red will join Ian for a lap around the stadium.
听
Then on to Bolton Wanderers' Reebok Stadium, where mascot Lofty The Lion will run a lap alongside Ian.
听
His final destination is Wigan's JJB Stadium, where his final lap will be run with Wigan Athletic's mascot.
听
Ian says: "When I heard Sport Relief was coming up, I put my hand up straight away to take on a challenge. I've run marathons in the past and I love the physical challenge. If the people of Greater Manchester would like to come out and cheer me on or even run part of the route with me, that would be fantastic."
听
Everyone is welcome to run or walk part of the route with Ian. Full details of the route can be found at bbc.co.uk/manchester and updates on his progress will be broadcast on Radio Manchester throughout the day.
听
Ian's run is to raise awareness of the Sport Relief weekend which will take place from Friday 14 March to Sunday 16 March.
