³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ East announces winners of first ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ East Sports Awards

³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ East Sports Awards celebrated the finest in sporting achievement over the past year and was attended by both professional and amateur sportsmen and women from across the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ East region.

The ceremony celebrated 10 different categories and was held at the American Air Museum, Duxford on Monday evening (12 November).
Ìý
The final award of the evening was the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ East Sports Personality of the Year. The award went to Lewis Hamilton.
Ìý
The ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ East Unsung Hero was awarded to Paul Webb. Paul will now go forward in the star-studded ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Sports Personality Of The Year programme, where an overall winner will be named.

The award ceremony was broadcast live on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Local Radio in the Region presented by Paul Stainton of ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Three Counties Radio.

Highlights of the event hosted by Stewart White will be shown on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Look East.
