50 Cent, Shaggy, Kano and Craig David head stellar line-up – 2007 Mobo Awards on the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ

The 12th annual Mobo Awards will broadcast on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Three from the O2 Arena on Wednesday 19 September.

Hosted by platinum-selling reggae artist Shaggy and British R'n'B star Jamelia, the star-studded awards ceremony will feature performances from Shaggy, Mutya Buena, Kano and Craig David, plus top American talent 50 Cent, Ne-Yo and Robin Thicke, and more acts still to be announced.

³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio 1 and 1Xtra ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ will bring reports, news and updates – both in the build up to the awards, and on the evening itself – and ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ One will broadcast the edited show on Friday 21 September. This is the fourth year that the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ has exclusively broadcast the awards.

Mobo celebrates the very best of urban music, both national and international. Amy Winehouse is in the running for a staggering four Mobo Awards, as is fellow Brit Dizzee Rascal. Other nominees include 50 Cent, Kanye West, Mutya Buena, Rihanna, Akon, Corinne Bailey Rae, Joss Stone and Lemar.

Joining the hosts will be celebrity presenters including Monty Panesar, Erin O'Connor, Levi Roots, Cathy Tyson, Angellica Bell, Quentin Tarantino, Diane Parish, Tiana Benjamin and Will Johnson.

50 Cent: One of the biggest selling rap artists in the world – 50 Cent's albums Get Rich Or Die Tryin and The Massacre both went multi–platinum exceeding sales of 20million records worldwide. Mutya Buena: Former Sugababe Mutya Buena has emerged as a solo artist into one of the strongest new talents in the UK. Her debut album Real Girl, released in June 2007, entered the charts at number ten and features collaborations with Amy Winehouse, George Michael and Groove Armada.

Ne-Yo: New album Because Of You confirmed Ne-Yo as one of America's brightest stars. Signed to the Def Jam label he has also written songs for Whitney Houston, Enrique Iglesias, as well as smash hit Irreplaceable for Beyonce. He is currently working with Britney Spears on her comeback.

Robin Thicke: Latest album The Evolution Of Robin Thicke cemented Robin's position as the modern star of blue-eyed soul. A commercial and critical success the album features collaborations with Pharrell, Busta Rhymes and Faith Evans. His latest musical partnership is with superstar 50 Cent.

T-Pain and Yung Joc: Two of America's hottest rappers, signed to Akon's Konvict music label and P Diddy's Bad Boy South respectively, team up for their hit Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin').

Kano and Craig David: Brit favourites Kano and Craig David are set to perform their first collaboration, forthcoming sure–fire hit This Is The Girl. Kano is this year nominated for two Mobo awards.
