³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Entertainment Commissioning hires exec to focus on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Three and
teens

Elaine Bedell, ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Controller of Entertainment Commissioning, has strengthened her commissioning team by appointing Karl Warner, currently Head of Development at Monkey, as Executive Editor, ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Three and Teens.

Karl Warner, 28, has been Head of Development at Monkey for the last year and during that time has helped to either develop or devise shows such as The Charlotte Church Show for Channel 4, High School Dance for E4 and Fist Of Zen for MTV.

He has also been responsible for managing Monkey's relationship with Universal Music, helping to develop or devise shows for their artists, including Elton John: Me Myself And I for ITV and The Passions Of Girls Aloud for ITV2.

Prior to that he was at Endemol for several years working as a producer on reality shows like The Match, Soccer Aid and four series of Big Brother.

He has also worked in-house for ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Entertainment.

Elaine Bedell said: "Karl's going to be a great addition to our commissioning team.

"He's got the specific remit to find and develop entertainment formats and programmes which target younger audiences – we want to build our entertainment slate on ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Three."

Karl Warner said: "For me, ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Three is the most exciting channel at the moment so I'm really looking forward to playing a part in creating some fresh entertainment shows for its
audience to enjoy."
