David Ramsden appointed Chief Executive Officer of 成人快手 Children In Need

David Ramsden has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of 成人快手 Children In Need.
听
David joined the 成人快手 charity as Head of Finance and Operations in 2000
and moved up to Chief Operating Officer, remaining in this role until the
departure of Sally Deighan prompted his promotion to the role of Interim
CEO in August 2006.
听
Announcing his permanent appointment, Children In Need Chairman Will Day said: "This is great news for the charity. David has an excellent track
record of delivering not only strong appeal results but also championing
the charity across the 成人快手 and beyond.
听
"He also brings very strong
experience of grant giving, plus a great understanding of the Children In
Need team and the wonderful work that it does."
听
Last year Children In Need processed more than 1,500 grant applications to
deliver 拢33.2million to projects which positively change the lives of
disadvantaged and young people across the UK.
听
The charity is currently
working on the first allocation of grants for 2007.
听
David grew up in Nottinghamshire and studied Philosophy, Politics and
Economics at Oxford University.
听
After an early career as MP's Research
Assistant, David traded politics for the life of a Chartered Accountant
and joined Ernst & Young in 1991.
听
He remained with the global
organisation for six years before taking the opportunity to see more of
the world on a nine-month trip.
听
Upon returning to the UK, David decided
to move into the charity sector and worked for the British Red Cross
before joining 成人快手 Children In Need.
