Dream Ticket for Shaun Keaveny on 6 Music
|
Shaun Keaveny is to present a new show for 成人快手 6 Music.
听
Keaveny will take over The Dream Ticket on Monday 15 January 2007.
听
The show broadcasts Mondays to
Thursdays from 10pm to 1am.
听
Lesley Douglas, Controller, 成人快手 6 Music, says: "I have long admired Shaun's
work. He is a true radio talent who understands how to connect to listeners -
he plays with the medium in a way which is really exciting.
听
"His love of music
and his irreverent style make him a natural choice for 6 Music."
听
The Dream Ticket cherry-picks headline performances and exclusive 成人快手 sessions
from the 成人快手 archives as well as enabling listeners to request classic
recordings or to give live gig reviews from around the country.
听
Shaun Keaveny says: "I have, like most sane broadcasters, always dreamed of
eventually working for what is now, more than ever, the finest broadcasting
institution in the world.
听
"6 Music has long been a bastion of the best new
music, and curator of the spirit of John Peel, so for a music lover, to use an
hilarious pun, it's the dream ticket."
听
Shaun Keaveny currently presents afternoons as well as the Friday breakfast
show on London's XFM. He helped to secure a 2006 Sony Gold Award for XFM's
Rock School, co-presenting with Lauren Laverne.
听
Alongside his numerous live DJ appearances, this year saw him present the main
stage at the 02 Wireless Festival in Hyde Park.
听
Shaun's work in TV has included appearing with Richard Bacon on his show
Flipside TV (Channel 4 and Paramount Comedy) and with Mary Anne Hobbs on JAMZ
(Nation 217).
听
He is a regular pundit for ITV1, ITV2, Channel 4 and Five; the
current narrator for E4's Stop Treating Me Like a Kid, Superheroes for Sky One
and Channel 4's Road to V; and is the new "voice of Sky One".
