The 成人快手 has appointed Stephen Kelly as Director, 成人快手 People, the Corporation's human resource division. Mr Kelly will join the 成人快手 on 2 October 2006, succeeding Stephen Dando, who moved to Reuters in April.

Mr Kelly, 40, is currently Chief Human Resources and Change Officer, BT Global Services, BT's worldwide business solutions and services business.

In his role he will be responsible for the full range of HR functions including training and development, resourcing, employee relations, reward, organisation design and change management.

This will also include responsibility for the recently outsourced HR services.

Stephen Kelly was born in Kilmarnock and began his career at the British Railways Board, where he spent 10 years undertaking various positions in human resources, culminating in him becoming Personnel Director, Eastern Infrastructure Division, which was bought by Balfour Beatty in 1994 where he remained as a Divisional HR Director until 1997.

In 1997 he joined NPI as Divisional HR Director until January 1999 when he joined BT.

During his time at BT he has undertaken three major roles, initially joining as Compensation Strategy Director, before becoming VP Global Organisational Development and International Reward in October 1999, based in Reston, Virginia USA.

He was appointed to his current role in early 2002, where he has played a pivotal role in the company's transformation, having been responsible for driving the overall people and change agenda within BT Global Services.

Latterly he was also responsible for the introduction of a new global commercial and operating model across the world, as well as the initial post acquisition integration of three international businesses BT acquired in 2005, based in Los Angeles, New York and Milan.

Announcing the appointment, 成人快手 Director-General Mark Thompson said: "I am delighted to be able to announce Stephen's appointment.

"He brings not only wide experience in all of the components of human resource management, but also a very significant track record in change management embracing organisation and culture change in large and complex organisations.

"We will only be able to deliver the vision for programming and content we set out in Creative Future if we have a strong, creative and well-motivated workforce, and Stephen's role in leading the central HR team towards a more strategically focussed operation will be vital in delivering this.

"We look forward very much to him joining the 成人快手."

Stephen Kelly said: "I am very excited to be joining the 成人快手 at this critical time of radical change in media and broadcasting.

"People are at the very heart of the 成人快手's proposition now and in the future, and I look forward to making a contribution to helping the 成人快手 meet the challenges of the digital age."
