An exclusive 成人快手 TWO Daily Politics poll conducted in the immediate aftermath of the Liberal Democrat leadership contest suggests a general lack of interest in the contest among voters in the top 20 Liberal Democrat target seats.

More than three quarters of voters polled said they we're 'only slightly interested' or 'not at all interested' - with suprisingly less than a quarter of Liberal Democrat voters 'very interested' in the contest.
听
Only 19 per cent of those polled could see Sir Menzies Campbell as a future Prime Minister, and nearly 59% disagreed with the statement 'I can see Ming Campbell as a potential Prime Minister'.
听
This compares with 60 per cent who could see Gordon Brown, Chancellor of the Exchequer, as a potential Prime Minister and 49% who could see David Cameron, Conservative Party leader, as a potential Prime Minister.

Only 19 per cent said they were more likely to vote for the Liberal Democrats with Sir Menzies as leader.
听
This compares with 28 per cent who said they were more likely to vote Labour with Gordon Brown as leader (67% disagreed) and 30% who said they were more likely to vote Conservative with David Cameron as leader (64% disagreed).

Forty-five per cent of voters still think of the Conservatives as the 'nasty party'.

The poll was conducted by Populus straight after the announcement of the new Liberal Democrat leader on Thursday 2 March.

The sample size was 500 targeted in the top 20 Liberal Democrat target seats (top ten Labour held and top ten Conservative held).
