成人快手 Blast, in partnership with the Prince's Trust and Artswork led by the Arts Council of England, has been awarded 拢1m over three years from the Big Lottery Fund - Young People's Strategic Funds - for a programme of creative activities aimed at young people from all communities.
听
Under the name HUB4, the money will enable the project to focus on four areas: Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich and Southampton, to provide young people with creative and media skills training, learning opportunities and progression routes.
听
The programme will target 13- to 24-year-olds (with a strong focus on 13- to 19-year-olds) who are 'disadvantaged' for social, cultural and/or economic reasons.
听
The Prince's Trust will play a key role in identifying and training the young people and so will Artswork.
听
成人快手 Blast, as the media partner, will provide ongoing online support and showcase opportunities for the creative content. As part of the contract, 成人快手 Blast will co-ordinate large showcase events at each city centre in 2008/09, where the Blast Truck will also be present.
听

Virginia Haworth-Galt, Director, Artswork, said: "The grant from the Young People's Fund will allow us to bring a wide range of positive and exciting opportunities to thousands of the most vulnerable young people in England over the next three years.

"For many of these young people, this may be their only chance to build on their skills and confidence and get back into education, employment or training. We can make a genuine difference to young lives with this money."

The money comes from 拢12.5m awarded by the Young People's Fund National Grants Programme to innovative projects that make a significant difference to the lives of young people in England.

The key consideration for all successful proposals is that young people are involved in the planning, delivery, management and evaluation of the projects.

成人快手 Blast is a unique 成人快手 project created to inspire and engage 13 to 19-year-olds to bring their creative ideas to life by offering them opportunities to explore their interest in art, dance, music, film, writing or digital creativity.

Bringing together online, television and radio and community events, 成人快手 Blast enables young people to develop their own ideas, find contacts and showcase their own work, building young people's confidence and know-how through professional support.

The Young People's Fund in England was launched in September 2004. It aims to put young people at the centre of creating, planning and delivering projects to achieve the following:
听
. Being healthy: enjoying good physical and mental health and living a healthy lifestyle.
. Staying safe: being protected from harm and neglect and growing up able to look after themselves.
. Enjoying and achieving, getting the most out of life and developing the skills for adulthood.
. Making a positive contribution to the community and society and not offending or behaving anti-socially.
. Economic well-being: overcoming disadvantages to achieve their full potential in life.

The success criteria for this programme include young people's involvement at every stage of the project from start to finish and the project delivering one or more of the five Young People's Fund programme outcomes.

Big Lottery Fund is the joint operating name of the New Opportunities Fund and the National Lottery Charities Board (which made grants under the name of the Community Fund). The Big Lottery Fund, launched on 1 June 2004, is distributing half of all National Lottery good cause funding across the UK.
