For older children and families, a new adaptation of The Snow Queen, Hans Christian Anderson's classic fairy tale, comes to life in a beautiful mix of music and song, animation and live drama.

It's a tale of love and courage in the shape of Gerda, a young girl who sets out on a long journey to the north to find and save Kay, her friend, who lies asleep under the spell of the terrifying Snow Queen.
听
This unique adaptation stars Juliet Stevenson, Kenneth Welsh and features the voice of Patrick Stewart.
听
As a fun contrast, the Blue Peter gang are travelling back in time to the glittery Eighties for an all-singing, all-dancing two-part extravaganza set in the heady world of top glossy magazine, 'Blue Peter'.
听
Totally Blue Peter, with a backdrop of Eighties pop numbers, will be a big-haired, shoulder-padded riot for the whole family.
听
On a totally different note, the Blue Peter team get together to give some remarkable young people a Christmas surprise of a lifetime.
听
In the Christmas Day special Blue Peter Gold, Konnie, Matt, Liz, Zoe and Gethin award five remarkable viewers from across the UK with a gold Blue Peter badge for their outstanding achievement, courage or bravery.
听
But there are more surprises in store for each of them. After being presented with their gold badges, the lucky recipients will be appearing in the musical Scrooge; jetting off to Sri Lanka and Kenya; and meeting their favourite stars, including David Beckham, rugby star Jonny Wilkinson, Coldplay's Chris Martin and actress Jennifer Ellison.
听
In addition, the gang return to take their traditional look back at their favourite moments in 2005 in Blue Peter Review of the Year.
听
Unforgettable moments include the Blue Peter 4000th programme with appearances from Ewan McGregor and David Beckham, fantastic competitions like the Doctor Who 'Design A Monster' and a fond look back at the short life of Smudge, the Blue Peter cat.
听
There will also be the chance to click online to keep Christmas alive with C成人快手 Christmas - It's Magical, and help a young boy to bring back the spirit of Christmas by restoring an old Victorian snow globe so it can play music and create snowfall once again.

For younger viewers, CBeebies celebrates Christmas with a series of brand new animations featuring kids' best-loved characters.

New favourites Charlie and Lola wake up to a world completely covered in snow and have a wonderful time in the park making special snow angels and racing each other.

Meanwhile, out in the Australian Outback, The Koala Brothers return for the best Christmas ever when they invite their friends to spend Christmas Day with them at the 成人快手stead.
