The 成人快手 today
announced that Martina Milburn, CEO of the 成人快手 Children in Need
Appeal, will leave the 成人快手 at the end of April to take up the post of
Chief Executive of The Prince's Trust.
听
Martina has been CEO of the Appeal since July 2000.
听
Martina Milburn said: "I
have had a wonderful four years leading 成人快手 Children in Need.
听
"In that time, 成人快手 viewers and listeners have raised
over 拢100m for disadvantaged children in the UK which has made
a massive difference to thousands of lives.
听
"The Prince's Trust will bring new challenges which
I am looking forward to."
听
Sir Robert Smith, 成人快手 Governor and Chairman of the 成人快手
Children in Need Appeal Trustees, said: "We
shall be sad to lose Martina since she has achieved remarkable success
in her leadership of the appeal.
听
"As the National Governor for Scotland, I've been
struck by the increased support for the appeal throughout the UK.

"Everyone associated with the appeal, both inside
and outside the 成人快手, values Martina's warmth, determination and creativity.

"She leaves the appeal significantly stronger and
we are therefore confident that the post will attract high-quality candidates
wanting to build on Martina's success."

Martina Milburn has built a career as a journalist
and a charity executive.
听
In 1993 she was appointed Chief Executive of ASPIRE,
the spinal injuries charity.
听
After turning that charity's fortunes around, she joined
成人快手 Children in Need in 2000 as Director and since then has helped raise
more than 拢100 million for disadvantaged children in the UK.
听
The 成人快手 Children in Need TV telethon, as we
know it today, began in 1980. Since then, the appeal has raised more
than 拢325 million. Later this year the charity celebrates its
silver jubilee.
