I was greatly moved by the coverage of "Gaza: Out of the Ruins". I thought that Jeremy Bowen's reporting was exemplary: respectful, measured, calm - he let the people affected, and the facts, speak for themselves. This programme has done much to answer the 成人快手's critics over the refusal to screen the Gaza Appeal. Mr Bowen's standards of reporting should be a benchmark for all reporting.

Congratulations on a thoughtful, honest and balanced programme, which took a long hard look at the reality of Gaza today. Extremely well presented and with some excellent interviews. I would like to see a lot more from Jeremy Bowen, who has a good grasp of the complexities of Israel and Palestine.

Although the programme was about Gaza, in order to give at least the pretence of looking at things both ways pictures of Israeli children cowering in shelters for the last years would have been the very least - pictures are very emotive and not one photo of the physical or psychological impact on Israelis the last 8 YEARS where at any minute a rocket could have destroyed their home - how can you live like that. Interesting that we get comments from groups when Islamist terrorism is perpetrated saying that we have to understand the reasons they do this - but in this case no mention at all of understanding in any depth apart from 'the Israelis claim'

Great programme - the reality of what happened in Gaza is shown. Impartiality is a key for a good broadcast, Jeremy Bowen in his usual manner sent the message of what the people of Gaza have had to endure while the world was blind.

I have always had faith in the 成人快手 and still do so, there was a lot of criticism over the DEC event and the 成人快手. I admire the 成人快手 for it's accurate and impartiality. The programme aired on Panorama by Jeremy Bowen was of an excellent nature and it showed in its pure manner what was happening in Gaza - keep up the good work. From a proud license payer.

I found the Panorama report extremely refreshing given the lack of such human reporting in the western media. I am glad that there has been an attempt to show two sides, as opposed to the one-sided coverage we've gotten used to. Most importantly, I am glad that Bowen has done the right thing and made this conflict a human one - every death from the 1300+ now carries a meaning (although we will never truly grasp those meanings), and the weight of those meanings should be enough for something real to be done about what happened.

Typical gullible "reporting", prepared to believe anything the Hamas PR machine will tell them. There is not one item of this that's even. This one-sided report that shows Israel didn't do it's utmost to avoid civilian casualties - you of course made no insight into the fact that every attack near civilians was preceded by a phone call warning civilian to leave - even the Hamas PR can't deny this. There has never been a conflict this severe with such as small proportion (40% according to the UN) of civilian casualties.

I am horrified after watching Jeremy Bowden's Panorama report. If this is not a war crime than what is? This proves the UN is powerless. Every country must sign the war crimes treaty and they must accept its conditions and terms. We all need peace and harmony through out the world.

On the one hand the 成人快手 refused to show the Gaza Aid appeal for fear of breaching its impartiality, but on the other allows a reporter such as Jeremy Bowen to report a one sided story. He has been in the Middle East for long time and should know better. Shame for all the innocent people that died in Gaza, but shame on the 成人快手 to not give air time for those Israelis who have been blown up in buses, coffee shops etc. If the 成人快手 is so concerned about body counts to demonstrate disproportionably, has anybody tried to count how many of them died? He tried to put Hamas on a pedestal and portray Israel as the bad one. Does England not do the same in Afghanistan? But when its comes to Israel, everybody seems to have double standards. Just a thought; get Jeremy Bowen out of Israel, maybe he is one of the reasons that Israel did not allow the media to go in to Gaza. Thank you.

I found it incredibly difficult to see the people of Gaza suffer as they have during and after the recent conflict. I have two daughters of my own and, in this context, even just beginning to understand these families suffering has had such a deep effect on me I have to seek a way in which I can help. More profound though is the sickening inner silence I feel in understanding why both the Palestinians and the Israelis feel there is no acceptable compromise.

Just watched Panorama about the Gaza conflict, cant recall a more one-sided programme for a long time. The reporter was either very naive or very stupid. Asking one person after the other 'did you see any freedom fighters/Hamas before they fired on you, of course the reply would be NO.
Anyone with any common sense can see the people of Gaza are being used as a human shield. The last thing Hamas want is an open conflict with no civilians to hide behind as the deaths will always have an impact on the western media hoping to put pressure on the Israelis.

If the UN had stepped in to stop Hamas firing rockets into Israel this terrible tragedy could have been avoided. Israel is made to look the aggressor - what were they supposed to do in response to the 5800 rockets launched against them in three years?

Good programme, but as in several new broadcasts, there is not enough explanation as to why Hamas fire rockets into Israel. It is because they have been under blockade for 18 months. There should be some coverage of what this means for everyday life in Gaza, why the Gazans are so helpless and the only group ready to 'fight their cause' is Hamas. Your coverage makes it appear Hamas are just rocket firing to be aggressive without purpose other than to 'get the Jews out of Israel'. Which is an unreal objective and the Palestinians know it.

Just watched Panorama about the Gaza conflict. A great and moving programme, well done the 成人快手. Obviously the IDF operated in a high handed and, maybe an illegal manner. Hamas are also to blame. They are a terrorist group bent on destroying a whole nation, with the backing of Iran.
For me both Israel and Hamas (Iran/Syria) are equally guilty. But perhaps more so is our own government and that of the US who continue to back Israel as a client state against Iran. We must control the hatred in Israel (with sanctions if necessary) and confront Iran, by dialogue, if any lasting peace is to be achieved.

The programme wasn't as biased as I thought it was going to be, although the presenter clearly was. Would have liked to see the Hamas militant pressed further as he wasn't convincing at all. Unfortunately his interview with the militant failed to expose the undeniable and official murderous goals of Hamas.

It saddens all of us to see the conflict in Gaza but why oh why do we not see the 8 years of rocket fire coming from Gaza and the way that the Israeli's have to live. Is it proportionate to exchange 1000 Palestinian prisoners in return for one Soldier who was captured Mr. Shalit??

I found the report prejudiced against Israel, as most of the reporting has been throughout. We never hear about what Israel has been suffering from Hamas. All it is is a platform for Hamas to slander Israel.
