For the first time in 40 years, passengers of North Yorkshire Moors Railway will be able to travel by steam from Pickering to Whitby! Until now the NYMR trains had to stop at Grosmont - just a handful of miles from the coast and change onto a regular听modern railway carriage - but now it's all aboard for the coast! 成人快手 Radio York listeners have the unique chance to fill one of the four carriages on the very first train making the historic journey. The train will leave Pickering at 8.45am on Good Friday morning. Make sure you listen to 成人快手 Radio York from Monday 2nd April for your chance to win tickets to secure your place on this unique event in history.

The travellers will have four hours to entertain themselves in the lovely coastal town - it's very likely they'll take the chance to enjoy a lunch of fish and chips, after all, many top chefs, including James Martin and Rick Stein have declared Whitby to be the home of the best in Britain! They might decide to climb the 199 steps to the cliff top to visit the abbey ruins and see the spot where Bram Stoker got his inspiration for Dracula. They could possibly take a walk around the harbour and appreciate the town's historical past which stretches back thousands of years. Their steam return journey will stop at the historic and beautiful stations of Levisham, Goathland and Grosmont.
