Andrew Barton joined eleven young men inside Northallerton Prison, on a scheme with a unique approach to reducing re-offending: a course aimed at improving their lives, 'On the Out.' A sculpture created on the CYC course The Government recently said it wants to improve education in prisons because of the link between offending and a lack of vocational skills. It seems North Yorkshire's a bit ahead of the government, because in Northallerton Young Offenders Institution, an organisation called Connecting Youth Culture's won an award for its scheme to rehabilitate prisoners, through teaching them about the arts. 成人快手 Radio York Community Journalist, Andrew Barton, spent three weeks sharing the experience of the course with eleven inmates. Day two听in Her Majesty's Young Offender Institution in Northallerton, of a scheme with a unique approach to reducing re-offending. The eleven prisoners have got to know each other and have learnt about punctuation - now it's time to write their own story.
