So it鈥檚 that time of the year - once again
When you actually grovel - and it goes without saying
You鈥檙e nice to everybody - and to all those who ring
As you never can tell - what a phone call may bring

听

Yes again it has started - this yearly appeal
For items, gifts, and prizes - for the rickety wheel
And many of the things - that you will have got
Will be quite a varied - an assorted lot

Electrical goods, and rabbits - also planks of wood
Bottles of wine - to put some in the mood
Boxes of tiles, carpets - or bags of cement
These are some of the things - that you will be sent

听

Tickets for a concert - or some special do
A childs scooter - or a billiard cue
A meal at Margarets - Finaghy鈥檚 Cosy Grill
Every year she sends invites - so this year she will

听

Bicycles, flowers, turkeys - ice cream donated as well
A weekend for two - in some plush hotel
Hens, their eggs, black puddings - which may make you wince
A dozen fish suppers, steaks - a couple of pounds of mince

听

A suit from some tailors - some railway sleepers
Maybe free glasses - for those with bad peepers
成人快手 baked goodies - or pots of paints
Offers of work to be done - by D.I.Y . saints

听

A half load of brick, garden fencing - cheques from those who are flush Bottles of beer, vodka or rum - and the odd case of Bush
But remember way back - just a couple of year
When the latter mysteriously - seemed to disappear

听

But if you want a number - on the rickety wheel
Then send ten pounds at least - to this Christmas appeal
To enter the draw give cash - then you may succeed
And the money will go - to Children In Need
