Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden, South WalshamLocated in the heart of the Norfolk Broads, this oasis of calm is guaranteed to help you both escape the stresses of modern life. The garden has over three miles of walks, on which you can take in beautiful flowers, cross rustic bridges and enjoy the wildlife. The garden was left in trust by the 2nd Lord Fairhaven in 1973 and was opened to the public in 1975. It covers 131 acres of beautiful ancient woodland, water gardens and a private broad at South Walsham. Most of the garden is accessible to visitors in wheelchairs. Norwich Riverside walkIf you want a romantic location in the heart of the city, then the Norwich Riverside walk offers the perfect opportunity for holding hands and taking a leisurely stroll. Enjoy the beautiful sights that Norwich has to offer, including the austere ruins of Cow Tower and the picture-postcard Pull's Ferry. If you get tired of walking you can always join one of the boat tours that run daily. The Riverside walk is about 1.5 miles long, but you can extend or shorten it to suit you. The Tudor street on Elm Hill offers traditional tea rooms if you want to stop off and have lunch. Walsingham Abbey groundsIf you've reached that point in your relationship when you're sure you've met 'the one', then head to Walsingham. Who knows, this ruined priory might just seal the deal - and what better place to get down on one knee than a site of religious pilgrimage. Walsingham is situated four miles from the beautiful north Norfolk coast, between Wells-next-the-Sea and Fakenham. The site houses the remains of the Abbey, as well as a museum dedicated to the history of the Priory. The picturesque village offers a chance to escape the trappings of modern day high streets. North Norfolk RailwayWhat form of transport is more romantic than a steam train. For that perfect date why not try the North Norfolk Railway. Sit back and take in the beautiful scenery as the train passes through 10 miles of north Norfolk countryside. Hop off at one of the stops, explore the stations and marvel at the steam laden atmosphere from a bygone age. The train runs between Sheringham and Holt stopping off at Weybourne and Kelling Heath Park along the way. Buy a rollover ticket and, if your date is going well, you can travel back and forth all day. Buffet facilities are also available on some trains.
