Imagine being so unhappy with plans for your local playground that you complain about it to the council where you live.

Well 11-year-old Rosili from Utah, in the USA, wasn't going to give up on getting the playground she wanted.

She was so unhappy with the ideas for a nearby playground, so she went to those in charge of the project with her concerns - and her own plans, drawn up in crayon.

While it was too late to change the plans of that particular playground, the local government let her design a new one, which has now been built.

When it was unveiled she told KSL news in the USA: "It's a really cool playground" and that it "means a lot".

Rosili saw the designs for the playground near her home around a year ago - but she wasn't letting them slide.

She was 11 at the time, and said her sisters, who are younger than her, would struggle to play on parts of it.

This was because the plans included things like rope climbers that were only suitable for children aged 5-12.

So Rosili came up with her own playground plans, with something for everyone .

"After seeing her initiative and detail, we knew we had to make her dream happen," Clearfield City said on social media.

"We can learn a lot from Rosili’s example about how residents and the city can work together to create positive change."
