World Gymnastics Championships 2022: In pictures

Jessica Gadirova made history by becoming the first British gymnast to win a medal in the women's individual all-around event at the World Championships. She said she was "over the moon" to finish third, taking home a bronze medal.

Jessica was also part of Great Britain鈥檚 women鈥檚 team, who had a great championships by making history with their best ever result winning silver in the team final. Not only that, the result meant the girls booked their place at the next Olympics in Paris in 2024!

Alice Kinsella (pictured here), Georgia-Mae Fenton, Jessica Gadirova, Jennifer Gadirova and Ondine Achampong made up the team. They finished behind the USA who took gold and ahead of Canada, who came third.

Great Britain's men made the ultimate comeback to secure bronze in the team final. The result means the team - Joe Fraser, Giarnni Regini-Moran, Jake Jarman, James Hall and Courtney Tulloch - will join GB's women at the next Summer Olympics in two years' time.

They were in seventh place with just two apparatus left but a superb fight back in the final round allowed the team to claw their way back to finish in third place. The bronze medal position put them behind China who took gold and Japan who claimed silver.

There were also individual medals up for grabs at the World Championships. Giarnni Regini-Moran became first British male to win world floor gold. He edged out Japan's Olympic all-around champion Daiki Hashimoto by 0.033 to win with a score of 14.533.

On the final day, Jessica Gadirova picked up third medal at the event by claiming floor GOLD - only the fifth British world champion in history! Her twin sister Jennifer finished seventh.
