A man who died after an assault at a house has been named as 30-year-old Daniel Rae.
A murder investigation was launched by police after Mr Rae was found dead in Treforest, Rhondda Cynon Taf.
South Wales Police said it was called to the scene on Princess Street just before 20:00 GMT on Sunday.
Det Supt Mark O'Shea said the death was being investigated by the major crime unit and some cordons remained in place.
"Our thoughts continue to be with Daniel's family and friends at this very difficult time," he added.
"I would like to take this opportunity to reassure the public that this is a contained incident and that at this time there is not believed to be any wider risk to the public."
