Newport: Two women in hospital after dog attack
Two women have been injured after a dog attack in Newport, police have said.
Gwent Police said officers were called to the Liswerry area of the city at about 16:50 GMT on Wednesday after reports of a dog attack.
The force said two women had been injured and were taken to hospital, where they remained on Thursday morning.
The dog has been taken to a kennel as officers remained in the area to carry out further investigations.
