Briton Ferry recycling centre 'bomb' not explosive

A recycling centre in Neath Port Talbot was evacuated after a suspected wartime bomb was found.

The device, which dates back to World War Two, was discovered in a scrap bin at the site in Wharf Road, Briton Ferry on Thursday morning.

Bomb disposal experts were called to remove the device but it turned out to be a practice round which did not containing any explosives.

South Wales Police said the centre was later allowed to reopen.
