Tryweryn: Building the Capel Celyn memorial in 1967

As the 50th anniversary of the bombing of the Tryweryn dam is marked, this archive report from 1967 shows the construction of a memorial to the Welsh village flooded in 1965 to create a reservoir to supply water for the people of Liverpool.

The controversy is remembered to this day as a pivotal event in the rise of Welsh nationalism and campaign for devolution.
