Two men taken to hospital as cattle loose on A9 near Perth

Two men have been taken to hospital and a cow has been put down after a crash on the A9 in Perth.

Emergency services were called to the Broxden roundabout after a crash involving a white Ford Transit van, a black Audi A6 and a silver Isuzu D-Max towing a trailer with cattle on board.

The road was closed in both directions at about 07:30 but was reopened by about 10:00.

Traffic Scotland reported that cows were loose on the road after the crash.

Police and the Scottish Ambulance Service attended and two male drivers from the Isuzu and the Audi were taken to the Ninewells Hospital in Dundee to be treated for their injuries.

PC David Gray of Police Scotland's road policing unit said: "Inquiries are ongoing into the cause of this crash.

"I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information that may assist our inquiry to .

"We are also keen to obtain any dashcam from motorists driving on the road around the time of the crash."
