In pictures: Unexpected proposal in bagging area
A supermarket worker was surprised with a wedding proposal during a busy shift on a checkout.
Lynne Fuller was putting through trolley-loads of shopping at Aldi's Inshes store in Inverness when a piper in full Highland dress marched in, followed by her boyfriend Mike Durrant.
Mike, who works as a store assistant in the same shop, popped the question while colleagues and shoppers looked on.
Another store assistant took over at Lynne's till while got over her surprise. She said: "yes".
An Aldi spokesperson said: "We're so pleased to have played a small part in Lynne and Mike's engagement.
"At Aldi, we're all about celebrating life's milestones with our employees, and this unique proposal will certainly be a cherished memory in our store's history.
"Congratulations to the happy couple."
