Drink-driver caught after fleeing M8 crash in one shoe

Nobody was hurt in the crash on the M8 at Shieldhall
A drink-driver crashed his car on the M8 in Glasgow and was caught after fleeing the scene wearing only one shoe, police have said.
Officers said he was found at nearby shops wearing a single trainer that matched one left behind in the vehicle.
The driver was arrested and charged after the incident near Shieldhall on Hogmanay.
In a social media post, Police Scotland said that "miraculously, there was no damage or injury" to anyone else.
The driver spent the new year in jail and was released pending a court appearance.
