A Lanarkshire teenager has been found safe and well after being reported missing overnight.

The 14-year-old left her home in the Kirkwood area of Coatbridge at about 16:30 on Sunday to go for a run but did not return home.

Her family said she had not indicated she had plans to stay out overnight.

Police confirmed at about midday on Monday that she had been found safe and well and thanked the public for their help.
