Queen Street rail services resume after landslip

Landslip

Rail services from Glasgow Queen Street station have returned to normal after a landslip.

Engineers have spent the past week clearing the partial collapse of a railway embankment between Ashfield and Gilshochill, and the work was completed 24 hours ahead of schedule.

ScotRail said tonnes of mud and stone had washed onto the track at Lambhill, weakening a footbridge over the track.

Services to Anniesland and Crianlarich were cancelled as a result.

A bus service was operated from Glasgow Queen Street to Crianlarich.
