A body has been found near Beinn A Chroin in Crianlarich in the search for missing hillwalker Ivan Meyer.

The 45-year-old left his home in Edinburgh and travelled by train to the Stirlingshire mountain on Monday.

Police Scotland said formal identification had yet to take place, but Mr Meyer's family had been informed about the discovery.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
