State Street to create 90 new jobs in Edinburgh

A financial services company expanding in Scotland has announced it is to create 90 new jobs in Edinburgh.
State Street, which provides financial services to institutional investors, is boosting its workforce from 750 to 840 employees.
The posts will be professional and administrative roles.
The firm has 拢14.1 trillion in assets under custody and administration and 拢1.3 trillion in assets under management.
State Street operates in 26 countries and more than 100 markets and has had a presence in Scotland since 1998.
Scottish Finance Secretary John Swinney said: "Scotland has established a global reputation for financial services excellence and I am delighted that State Street is expanding its Scottish operations and creating 90 new jobs."
Barry Muir, State Street chief operating officer, added: "State Street has for many years recognised Edinburgh as a key financial centre and for the high calibre talent pool that exists within the financial services industry across Scotland."
