Woman, 76, dies in fire at Glasgow block of flats

A 76-year-old woman has died after a fire at a block of flats in the east end of Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to the property on Ruby Street in the Dalmarnock area at about 07:45 on Friday.

The woman was inside the property and she died at the scene.

Police said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death and there was no risk to other residents. No evacuations were required.
