West Belfast: Man charged after escaping custody

A 26-year-old man who escaped police custody on Saturday, while wearing handcuffs, has been charged with obstructing police.
The man has been further charged with with criminal damage, theft, and assault on police.
He is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court on 6 October.
It comes after he was initially detained at 12:15 BST on Saturday following a report of a burglary in the Falls Road area but absconded.
Police said they detained the man on Sunday at an address in west Belfast.
