Kilkeel: Attempted murder charge after domestic incident

A man has been charged with attempted murder following what police described as a domestic incident in Kilkeel, County Down, on Friday.

The 42-year-old is also accused of grievous bodily harm with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault.

Officers added he is also charged with two counts of witness intimidation.

He is expected to appear before Newry Magistrates' Court on Monday.
