Toome Bypass: Crash victim was 47-year-old Shauna McDevitt

The crash happed on the Toome Bypass in County Antrim

A woman who died following a crash on the Toome Bypass, County Antrim, was 47-year-old Shauna McDevitt from Londonderry.

Police responded to the collision shortly after 23:00 BST on Sunday, along with ambulance and fire crews.

A man, aged in his 50s, who was arrested following the incident remains in police custody assisting officers with their enquiries, police have said.

The Toome Bypass, which was closed for some time, has since been reopened.

Police have appealed to anyone with information or dash-cam footage to come forward.

End of facebook post by City of Derry Airport

Ms McDevitt, who worked at the City of Derry Airport, was described as "the most pleasant colleague and friend you could ever hope to meet".

In a Facebook post on Monday, the airport said: "Shauna will be forever in our thoughts and her memory will live long through the many lives she touched".

They expressed their deepest condolences to Ms McDevitt's family and said their thoughts and prayers are with them at this time.
