Man injured in attack by suspected poachers in Newby

A man has suffered serious facial injuries after being attacked by four suspected poachers, North Yorkshire Police said.
The victim was assaulted at about 00:30 BST on 25 October after coming across the men and a white lurcher-type dog in Bromley Lane, Newby.
Police said the man was treated in hospital for his injuries.
Officers investigating the assault have appealed for anyone who may have seen the group of men to come forward.
