Seagull-proof bags tested in Hastings
Seagull-proof bin bags are being tested in an East Sussex seaside town in a bid to stop the birds scavenging through household waste.
Hastings Borough Council said it would pilot the bags in the Bohemia, Castle and Tressell areas.
Councillor Phil Scott said the bags could withstand attacks from gulls.
He said: "While seagulls are very much part of our seaside town, we need to do everything we can to stop the mess they cause when they attack bags."
