Hundreds of cannabis plants found in Nottingham police raid

A man has been arrested and hundreds of cannabis plants seized after a house in Nottingham was raided.
Nottinghamshire Police officers targeted a property in Charlbury Road, Wollaton, on Tuesday morning after a tip off from the public.
They found 243 plants, growing equipment and what was described as a "dangerous bypassing" of the electricity system.
A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of producing a Class B drug.
PC Emma Bailey, of Nottinghamshire Police's city west team, said: "Cannabis production brings nothing but trouble to communities, due to them often having links to wider criminality.
"The dangerous bypassing of electricity, like we discovered in this instance, also provides a genuine fire risk to neighbouring properties."
