University names sports hall after golfer Lee Westwood

A newly expanded sports hall at Nottingham Trent University has been named after golfer Lee Westwood.
The Ryder Cup-winning golfer is currently ranked number two in the world and received an honorary degree from NTU in 2007.
The hall will be used by students and elite athletes at the university's Clifton campus.
Westwood, 37, who won the 2000 European Tour Order of Merit, offically opened the hall on Thursday.
The centre has three squash courts along with a 65-station fitness suite and a nutrition centre.
The university's sports science department will also use a sports therapy clinic and a human performance lab.
The Worksop-born golfer has not won a major tournament, but has finished second at the Open and the Masters and third at the US Open and has a total of 31 career victories.
Westwood returned from a six-week injury lay-off to help Europe regain the Ryder Cup in early October.
