Spital: Driver, 79, dies after road crash on the Wirral

The blue Mercedes crashed on Brimstage Road in Spital on Sunday morning
A 79-year-old driver has died after his car crashed on the Wirral, police said.
Merseyside Police said the blue Mercedes crashed into a road barrier at 09:30 GMT on Sunday near a roundabout on Brimstage Road, Spital.
Police said the driver was treated by paramedics after "suffering serious injuries" and died at the scene.
The force said the driver's family had been informed and were being supported by trained officers, with any witnesses asked to come forward.
