Jane Khalaf: 'Spiked drink' Huddersfield student's funeral held

The funeral has taken place of a student who claimed her drink had been spiked before she died while on an exchange trip in Germany.

Jane Khalaf, 19, who was studying at Northumbria University, collapsed after a carnival in Cologne where she told friends her drink was tampered with.

Police investigating her death said .

The funeral of Ms Khalaf, from Huddersfield, took place at 13:00 GMT at the town's Stirley Hill Cemetery.

Her family have for failing to investigate her death and said she would never intentionally have taken drugs.

Ms Khalaf was on an exchange trip from Northumbria University.

She is thought to have collapsed at St Marien Hospital in Cologne. She was put on life support but died eight days later, on 20 November.
