High tides and strong winds have left parts of Cumbria's coast flooded, roads closed and trains cancelled.

Floodwater and debris has covered some coastal routes and a number of remain in place along the county's coast.

The A5087 between Barrow and Ulverston and Ocean Road on Walney Island were among roads closed by flooding.

Northern Rail said trains had been affected between Barrow and Millom and from Workington to Carlisle.

Elsewhere in the county the A592 Kirkstone Pass was partly closed after an ambulance and a number of cars had to be abandoned in the snow.

The Langdale/Ambleside and Patterdale Mountain Rescue teams were called on Friday to help paramedics and two people injured in a crash but further cars got stuck.

Police in Barrow asked sightseers and photographers to stay away from affected areas.
