'Major delays' on stretch of A5 outside Tamworth after collision

Motorists have been warned of major delays on the A5 after a pedestrian was struck by an HGV.

The injured person was taken to hospital by ambulance following the collision at 17:25 GMT, said Warwickshire Police.

The incident had affected the A5 near junction 10 of the M42 between Tamworth and Dordon, officers said.

The slip road from the M42 southbound to the A5 was also closed following the collision.
