Police investigate fan behaviour from Cambridge United vs Stevenage

Hertfordshire Constabulary has been investigating fan behaviour after an incident at Stevenage Football Club.
Cambridge United said it was deeply disappointed by some of its fans after both clubs witnessed "unacceptable conduct" during a Stevenage away game.
During the match on Tuesday a flare was thrown onto the pitch.
The clubs said that fans who jeopardise the "safe environment of games" will be subject to club bans. Officers have been reviewing footage from the event.

More than were in attendance at the Lamex Stadium in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, for the EFL League One fixture on Tuesday .
Some supporters said that during the match several incidents originated from the stands.

'Unacceptable conduct'
Cambridge United has addressed the "disgraceful behaviour of a minority of its supporters" and said "we do not want them as part of our football club".
A spokesperson from the club said: "Unacceptable conduct was witnessed by both sets of supporters and the club is already working with the police to identify those involved from Cambridge United.
"We will not tolerate this sort of behaviour and will sanction those responsible accordingly.
"As a club we pride ourselves on being a family and community focused organisation, which helps contribute towards providing a safe environment in which to watch live football."
It added that suitable bans would be issued.
Ch Insp Ian Grout, from the said the incidents were being investigated.
He said: "We are aware of the events which took place at the match between Stevenage and Cambridge United on Tuesday.
"We are in conversation with both football clubs as part of our investigation and we are reviewing footage that is available to us."
Stevenage Football Club has been approached for comment.
