A serving police officer has denied three counts of engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour towards three former partners.

Andrew Bedding, 28, from Ipswich, also pleaded not guilty to one count of theft at Colchester Magistrates' Court.

The Suffolk Police constable is accused of stealing gold earrings from one of the women.

The offences are alleged to have happened at three different locations in Essex between 2018 and 2022.

He has been suspended from the force and is next due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on 2 May.
