Your pictures: Rural
Every week we publish a gallery of readers' pictures on a set theme. This week the theme was rural and we start with an image by Sampath Bogavilli taken in south India.
Catriona Mills: "This is a picture taken in Bontoc in the Phillipines on a local bus through the rice terraces and mountains."
Bence Gergely: "This was shot in Csesztreg, Hungary. For me, as one of the many inhabitants of the capital, Budapest, rural areas are special, they mean both peace and freedom."
Claudine Van Massenhove: "A windmill, and reflection, beside a canal in Damme, Flanders."
Anna Mair: "A very rural sight in the Yorkshire Dales, England."
Louis De La Foret: "Even frosted over, the barbed wire remains effective in the countryside."
Mary Ivory Smith: "Red barns against the snow, Cammas Prairie, Idaho."
Bob Heitzman: "Vermont has many covered bridges, but this is the only covered railway bridge I have seen. The unique design allowed the engines steam and smoke to escape through the top, and not choke the passengers in the cars that followed."
Holly Moore: "This is my favorite cottage. It lies between Madison Wisconsin and Wisconsin Dells, south west of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA."
Claire Simpson: "A beautiful Jersey cow on a frosty day." If you'd like to enter, send your pictures to yourpics@bbc.co.uk. Details of themes and terms can be seen on the photo blog - just follow the link below this gallery.
