Louis Tomlinson has been telling the Radio 1 Breakfast Show all about his new song.... and the lack of sushi in Doncaster.

Chating to Nick Grimshaw, the One Direction star talked about recording Back to You with Bebe Rexha.

They filmed the video in his home town in south Yorkshire.

"I really enjoyed showing her around Doncaster. It was Donnie on a good day," he told Grimmy.

Then something funny happened when Bebe needed food.

"At lunchtime some people from her team come in my dressing room and they go 'so Bebe's going to get some sushi'.

"Honestly, you're going to have to go 50 miles out of Doncaster before you find something that they call sushi."

Back to You is Louis' second single, after putting out Just Hold On with DJ Steve Aoki last year.

The 25-year-old says the song's been ready for at least three months, and he's excited to finally have it out.

"I always play [my new music] to friends and family first, because I think it's important that you get a real honest perspective," he says.

"I've been getting good feedback from the label and management, stuff like that, but obviously I want to hear what the fans think of it."

In a recent interview with Louis called himself "the kid wearing espadrilles, stood in't back".

But since then he says he's received lots of support about his value to One Direction.

That includes from bandmate Niall Horan, who told Australian radio station Nova 100 that Louis is "an unbelievable guy" and a "great singer".

He added that "we would have lost the plot along the way if we hadn't had Louis".

Louis says he gets nervous talking about himself.

"It was quite hard for me to read back, to be honest," the singer told Grimmy, "but I think it was good."

Louis says that the 1D boys still talk, but they don't have a group WhatsApp.

"It's just the normal way people keep in touch. Text, phone," he revealed.
