Man, 21, to go on trial after death of 36-year-old
A 21-year-old man will go on trial charged with murder following the death of a 36-year-old.
Lee Crewe, 36, died after being found unresponsive with serious injuries on Chepstow Road in Newport on 14 May.
David Sisman, 21, did not appear in court for the brief hearing at Newport Crown Court on Wednesday.
The trial is due to begin on 28 October.
In a tribute, Mr Crewe's family described him as聽"lovely, inside and out".
鈥淗e had an infectious personality that always lit up a room,鈥 they said.
Gwent Police said it was not looking for anyone else in connection with Mr Crewe's death.
Mr Sisman was further remanded in custody and is expected to appear in court again on 9 August.
