- Published
Reports of motorists driving dangerously on the A46 Lincoln bypass on Saturday evening led the police to issue dispersal orders overnight, officers said.
Police 鈥渂elieved around 200 vehicles鈥 had driven from the Newark area to a car meet near Lincoln.
Officers said they received similar reports of dangerous driving in Grantham and issued a further dispersal order for Gorse Lane, Tollemache Road and Spittlegate Level.
The orders enabled the police to order drivers out of the area and ban them from returning.
Police said that they started receiving reports of dangerous driving and vehicles being driven in an anti-social manner at 20:38 BST.
As a result, they issued a dispersal order at 12:16 BST covering the Teal Park, Whisby Road and Kingsley Road areas of Lincoln, and the second order was issued for Grantham at 21:47 BST.
Both dispersal orders expired at about 05:00 BST this morning.
