Metros delayed as trains unable to leave depot

Major delays are affecting the Tyne and Wear Metro due to a points failure.
No trains have been able to leave the depot at Gosforth, Newcastle, and some services have been suspended.
Operator Nexus said there were "delays of over an hour systemwide" and advised customers to seek alternative transport.
The company said an "operational incident" meant there was disruption on the Airport - South Hylton and Regent Centre - South Shields lines.
"Our staff are currently bringing trains off the Howdon depot with the aim of operating a limited service in this area and we will update when this is in place," a spokesperson said.
Trains are operating between North Shields and St James as normal.
Arriva, Stagecoach and Go North East buses are accepting Metro tickets, Nexus said.
Earlier this week, Metro services saw similar delays due to a power cut at the Gosforth depot.
The power outage caused problems with the service's signalling system.
