A cyclist has died in hospital following a collision with a car on a busy Leicestershire road.
Police closed the A6 between Kegworth and Hathern for most of the afternoon and evening on Thursday following the crash.
It happened in Derby Road in Hathern just after 13:20 BST and was reported to have involved a silver Mini Cooper and a bike.
The cyclist - a man in his 60s - was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham for treatment but died shortly after arriving.
The driver of the Mini 鈥 a man in his 20s 鈥 was not injured. No-one was arrested.
Police are appealing for dashcam footage and anyone with relevant information to come forward.
Det Con Charlotte Wright, from Leicestershire Police's serious collision investigation unit, said: 鈥淥ur inquiries to establish the circumstances that led to the collision occurring are continuing.
鈥淲hile we鈥檝e spoken to several people already, I鈥檇 ask anyone with dashcam footage or who saw the collision occur 鈥 but who has not yet contacted police 鈥 to do so.
"If you saw either the cyclist or the Mini beforehand, then I鈥檇 also urge you to come forward. Anything you鈥檙e able to tell us could help.鈥
The road reopened at 23:46 on Thursday.
