Man facing extradition over 1982 Lurgan bombing
Irish police have arrested a man wanted in connection with a bombing that killed three policemen in Northern Ireland in 1982.
He was arrested on Wednesday following an extradition request from the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
Garda铆 (Irish police) said the man, in his 60s, was being detained at a station in the eastern region and was expected to appear before the Extradition High Court in Dublin on Thursday.
Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) officers Sean Quinn, Allan McCloy and Paul Hamilton were killed when their car was blown up near Lurgan in County Armagh in October 1982.
